"Gillian's not sick: she's a dancer!"

The title of this blog entry is a quotation from Sir Ken Robinson's presentation Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative presented at the TED Conference in February, 2006. I listened to the audio version in October on a bus trip through New England and again today: and I'm keeping it on my iPod for future reference.
Robinson is an internationally-renowned expert in the field of creativity and innovation in business and education. His report All Our Futures: Creativity, Culture and Education had a profound effect on how government and the private sector in the UK now view creativity.
He's a very entertaining and effective speaker.
Gillian was an eight year old child who could not sit still. Her story is so interesting (and Robinson tells it so well) that I won't spoil it for you by summarizing it.
