I first saw the iPhone at MacWorld in January, 2007 when it was introduced. At that time we mere mortals could not touch the demo phone units but we were allowed to photograph one in a revolving glass case, under the watchful eye of a security officer. This year at MacWorld I was able to hold an iPhone and learn more about it, but the phone was not released in Canada until July 11. I bought mine shortly after that.
The iPhone is everything I hoped it would be, and more.
Its 2.0 megapixel camera gives better quality images than I expected and, of course, it's very easy to use. While high quality film and digital cameras provide higher resolution images they don't fit in a pocket as easily as an iPhone: and you can't use them to phone or e-mail your friends.
